Shettleston Charity Success

1089 Squadron were the recent recipients of the Flying Officer Bill Ritchie Trophy for raising more money than any other squadron in Scotland for the Royal Air Forces Association Wings Appeal.  The squadron raised over £1500, that was greatly appreciated by the charity.

The trophy was awarded by Air Commodore Stinton at the annual conference in the RAFA club, Stonegarth, Prestwick on the 2nd April 2005.  Cadets Thomas Greer and Ashely Andrews collected the trophy on behalf of the squadron.

The RAFA is a charity providing practical help and support for air force veterans and their dependants.
