Scholarships
There are a number of Flying Scholarships that are available to cadets. These are detailed below.
Air Cadet Pilot Scheme
Cadets can apply for a number of scholarhips via the Air Cadet Pilot Scheme (ACPS). The courses available are:
- 125 Light Aircraft courses available, consisting of 12 hours flying, leading to solo, to be flown at Tayside Aviation, Dundee.
- 25 Microlight courses, consisting of 10 hours flying, leading to solo, to be flown at RAF Halton.
- 40 Air Experience Flying courses, consisting of 10 hours to be flown on the Tutor aircraft, at several locations.
- There will be 36 Air Cadet Pilot Navigation Training Courses available, consisting of 10 hours flown on the Tutor aircraft at an AEF.

The RAF Association
The RAF Association has offered a number of Flying Scholarships - for which application must be made before 31 Jan 07. These are 1 x 35hours flying training and 4 x 12hours flying training. A cadet must have been a member of the ATC for the last 12 months on the 1st January 2007 and, at the time of application, hold GCSE awards at Grade C or higher in English Language, Mathematics and 3 other subjects, only one of which may be non academic (eg art, music), or the equivalent of such passes. A candidate must be at least 17 years of age and under 20 years of age on the 1st January 2007. Further information and application forms are available below:

The Air League
The Air League Educational Trust (ALET) is a charitable trust, offering careers advice and annually awarding flying scholarships, flying bursaries, gliding scholarships, a balloon PPL scholarship and engineering scholarships. Details of all the scholarships available can be found on their website:

The Royal Aero Club Trust
